PE and Sport Premium Overview 2017-2018

The Secretary of State for Education provides additional funding known as the PE and Sport Premium to improve the provision of Physical Education (PE) and Sport in primary schools. This Premium can only be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and Sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils, to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles.

PE and Sport Premium Funding for 2017-2018

In the Academic Year 2017 to 2018, schools will receive PE and Sport Premium funding based on the number of pupils in Years 1 to 6, as recorded in the January 2017 census. Schools with 17 or more eligible pupils receive £16,000 and an additional payment of £10 per pupil.

In 2017 to 2018, Oxclose Primary Academy will receive £17,830 of PE and Sport Premium funding to improve the PE and Sport offered at our school to encourage healthy, active lifestyles.
