Policies & Key Information
An admissions policy explains the arrangements for selection, oversubscription criteria and the application process for new children. Oxclose Primary Academy has adopted the Local Education Authority policy with regard to these admission arrangements, and can be viewed by clicking the link below:-
Oxclose Primary Academy’s Child Protection Policy should be read in conjunction with DfE guidance, found here
The school makes provision for 12 additional pupils with physical/medical disabilities on a full time basis. We also provide dual placements for pupils with disabilities, particularly for those children who are preparing to transfer into secondary education. The Local Authority delegates funding to support pupils with physical/medical disabilities as part of the “planned place programme” and this is used to provide specific teaching and non-teaching support. All staff working in this school have a very strong commitment to ensuring the successful inclusion of pupils with physical and medical disabilities, and make equality of opportunity a priority. Adaptations to the school include the development of a therapy area with new changing and shower facilities and the designation of a specialist area for physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
