The Demon Headmaster – Reviewed by Miss Tubbritt

Miss Tubbritt                                                                The Demon Headmaster

Miss Tubbritt tells us why ‘The Demon Headmaster’ is a great book for all Key Stage 2 pupils.

Dinah Glass has gone to live with a new foster family. She finds herself faced with new foster parents, having to live with two boys and a new school. But something is not right at this school. The children are so well behaved, everything is so quiet, there are strange assemblies every day, and what was it about the headmaster? Follow the adventures of Dinah and her new friend ‘SPLAT’ as they work together to unravel the mystery of the Demon Headmaster and save their school, and possibly the entire country. This was one of my favourite books as a child and is still a firm favourite with every class I have shared it with. It has exciting characters, plot twists and suspense galore. It is the first book in a series of 7 novels, the first five books were also made into a TV series for BBC. I recommend this for children aged 7-12.
